C the Future is a great festival at Maak in Haarlem. All businesses at Maak open their doors for the public. You can find all kinds of 3D printing techniques, from creating small parts to printing big concrete parts for sewer systems. Besides that there was a lot to see and do related to building, a market with organic fruit, vegetables and herb and much more. Younger visitors could sit behind the wheel of a real truck and experience first-hand how much a truck driver can see — and where the blind spots are.
Hart Talent on Tour was also present. Normally they have a one hour time slot. At C the Future, also the last gig of the season, they had two hours! This gave the musicians who perform solo and with a band the opportunity to show both.
The show opened with the theme song telling the audience what Hart Talent on Tour is all about. Since The Notulist couldn’t make it, Maral stepped up to fill the void. The band Cozy, was the first to take the stage with their lead singer Leela. Their bass player couldn’t make it, but that didn’t stop them putting on a good show. Leela performed solo later in the show.
Leaf doesn’t just sing a song. She builds a complete performance around it. This time it was Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N’ Roses. Finne, with her clear voice and guitar, brought a song by Abba. The band Orka is a five piece band, and one of its members is… Evy, who also performed solo later in the afternoon.
There are two participants who always support the other artists. One of them is Sanne Vera. First she supported Milou on guitar, continued to do a song with Reinout. Later in the afternoon she supported Shaya. Sanne took as second break and did two songs together with Reinout and ended the afternoon solo at the piano.
Maral did her first song at the piano and later continued with Reinout supporting her on guitar, but not before Vera and Thijs did their songs.
This was a great afternoon made possible by all performing artists and the coaches Gene Power and Maartje Keijzer.
