Hart Talent on Tour is on a roll. The music part of HIT Haarlem in taken the talents around town. After two gigs on Kingsday, they had a show at Bevrijdingspop on the 5th of may,. 2025.
Bevrijdingpop is a free music festival to celebrate the liberation of The Netherlands. We don’t pay enough attention to our freedom, only once in five years everybody is free. Last time it was on a Sunday… This year is was a Monday!!! The weather turned out great and the festival had to close its doors as it was too crowded. The total visitor count reached 143,000 visitor. To put it in perspective Haarlem 168,665 inhabitants.
When I arrived the queues to get in were already long. I had the privilege to be registered at one of the stages, cause… I was going to make photo’s of the team!
They opened the show with the whole team! Next up was Jasper, his guitar and loop pedal. He was followed by Zenne, her confidence grew a lot in a year. Leela did a cover and one of her own songs which she wrote with a friend. A new participant for me this year is Elena. She was supported by Reinout on guitar. Maral closed the show with a cover of a song by MEAU, which was song along just as loud by the audience.
Gene and Noah ensured everything was running smooth and took care of the presentation.
But… Bevrijdingspop wouldn’t be possible without all the volunteers managing the stages, taking care of the technique, managing the artists, ensuring there is plenty to drink and eat and that for a very long day.
