It has been a while until the first Friday of the month was reserved for Kweekmuziek. That was due not a lack of musicians who wanted to perform at the Kweekcafé in Haarlem. It was caused by a major overhaul and extension of the kitchen.
The first band after the reopening was Vive. This five strong formation brings jazzy latin groves and drew a big crowd. Their secret ingredient? A good handpicked selection of covers and their own songs. It was also the birthday gig of their lead singer!
And the kitchen? It is ready for the future and to cater for big parties.
