On the June 23, 2024, The Climate Chain set out to occupy the Dutch coast from Hoek van Holland in the southwest to Eemshaven in the northeast. The goal was to for a red line along the sea.
I want to Zandvoort for the event. People gathered at the beaches in perfect weather conditions. At 14:00 they held each others hands and formed a chain at the waterfront for ten minutes.
Holding hands at the seashore doesn’t stop the sea from rising, but it will create a lot of media attention.
