November 2024 was the first time I saw Wiekeliedjes. She was one of the participants at the Tiny Tribes Concert show at Hello I’m Local in Haarlem. She said she was on tour. With six to eight gigs lined up I thought that was a great result. She didn’t stop to take the stage after that. She kept performing at least once a week.
Now, one and a half year later, there was the release party of her album ‘en ik overdrijf” at theater Kikker in Utrecht. What was started as one show, became two sold out shows! Normally you would expect to find her with her guitar or a piano when there is one available,but especially for the shows she formed a band!
